The database for international comparison of security rights over immovable property
In order to improve understanding of the law of immovable security in Europe, the vdp together with the members of its Round Table on Security Rights over Immovable Property, have developed the unique database vdpmortgage.
The Database contains comprehensive information about the current legal regime applicable to immovable security in more than 35 countries.
This complex material is presented in a series of maps on which countries which take the same approach are coloured the same. This allows the user to see the similarities and differences between legal systems at a glance.

The members of the Round Table are jurists specialising in immovable security rights in participating countries. They have developed more than 300 maps setting out the answers to questions which are relevant to practice in 12 chapters. Over time, these will be made publicly available here.
